This is the case of Christophe Schwab, the head of ID Construction, a company located in Hohwarth (Grand Est français) active in the construction and renovation industry for 17 years. This entrepreneur is among the pioneers. His vision is clear and straightforward.  « I wanted to stand out within my industry by opting for a technical and ecological solution that truly allowed us to differentiate ourselves. Since then, we have already built around ten houses despite the slowdown in activity inherent to the health crisis  », he explains.

« This hemp block solution represents a significant evolution, not to mention a revolution, especially considering its energy performance. The breathable aspect (NDLR : the block captures and releases moisture) is also among the undeniable advantages of the formula », he adds.

An option that also aligns with the aspirations of the younger generation.
«  And not only with my clients… I also feel it among my teams. They are young, and we when started our first projects four years ago, they immediately embraced this new construction technique that aligns with their environmental concerns.
It's an ecological, natural, insulating, fire-resistant, zero-waste product that offers better thermal resistance than other construction materials. When I present this to my clients, they are easily open to discussing this innovative solution. »
, testifies Christophe.

« An efficient insulation solution »

Davy Morian certainly won't disagree. «  We had expressed the desire to build our new house with a wooden frame. Due to the sloping nature of the land, our initial step was to engage ID Construction to construct concrete basements.
The price of wood then skyrocketed, and Christophe told us about hemp block, an alternative that allowed us to stay within our budget. Price remained the decisive factor, guiding our decisions. »

My application guide

Before the signals truly turned green, Davy Morian naturally asked around about the advantages offered by this real alternative. He was quickly convinced of the merits of this solution. « I was assured that this material had very good insulation performance, testimonials confirmed by the builder, and that finally convinced me. Their manufacturing, in Belgium, was also a factor. Not to mention, of course, the ecological properties of the material » adds Davy, who discovers day by day its special features and more particularly the thermal comfort it offers.

« We are doing the interior fittings of the house ourselves, but we already realize the beneficial effects of hemp in terms of insulation. It's very pleasant, and we will be able to fully enjoy it in the future. The fittings I am doing require a slightly different approach, such as using clay-based plaster on the walls instead of plaster.
Making grooves is very easy, but sometimes you have to look for innovative solutions to master the material well. We are really looking forward to moving into our new living space.
