Renovation- listed old power station- Zwevegem

Transfo Zwevegem is a beautiful renovation project of an old listed power station, to which we are proud to have contributed. Hemp blocks have many advantages - thermal and acoustic insulation, humidity control, fire resistance and negative carbon footprint - all in one material.

The specificity of our hemp blocks therefore makes them the ideal material for the renovation of the almost 1000m2 envelope of this old building. It is also the material of choice for heritage preservation and for circular construction projects such as the sustainable renovation of TRANSFO ZWEVEGEM. 15 cm thick blocks were applied with a cavity filling of +/-3 cm hemp-lime. This project was done in collaboration with the municipality and the OCMW of Zwevegem and the intermunicipal province of Leiedal in West Flanders.
