A bio-based material tailored to large-scale projects.
To ensure both thermal comfort for occupants and control of energy consumption, the project includes 1,588 m² of IsoHemp hemp blocks for interior insulation.
The decision was based on several criteria :
- High thermal and acoustic performance
- Natural moisture regulation, supporting a healthy indoor environment
- Fast installation, thanks to the modular block format
Hemp blocks also proved regulatory compliant, meeting RE 2020 targets while respecting technical project constraints.

Project ownership and environmental strategy.
The construction site leverages several eco-construction methods :
- Re-use: 3,590 kg of reclaimed steel for structural elements.
- Energy production: photovoltaic panels and connection to district heating.
- Bio-based materials: hemp and other low-carbon alternatives.
IsoHemp provided technical support throughout design and construction, ensuring seamless integration of hemp blocks within project requirements.
Delivery in 2026 –
A flagship for low-carbon social housing.
With this achievement, IsoHemp reaffirms the relevance of its solutions in complex projects combining environmental logic with social and urban demands.
La Passerelle is a concrete example of hemp block integration in collective housing operations, where performance, durability and occupant comfort are central priorities.
