One material, two uses:
Kanop stands out for its dual thermo-acoustic performance. It acts where much of everyday comfort is decided: between two storeys and under the roof.

  • Between two levels, it reduces the transmission of voices and airborne noise, to preserve the tranquillity of every space.
  • In unconverted lofts, it adds the mass the building lacks. The afternoon heat peak reaches the interior only in the evening, at the time when ventilation becomes possible. In winter, heat stays below the floor instead of escaping through the roof.
     

Good to know: Kanop is intended only for intermediate floors and unconverted lofts. 
To fill the gap between an existing wall and hempcrete block masonry, use HL Mix.

Benefits of our thermo-acoustic insulation.

  • Acoustic comfort between floors: up to 56 dB* of airborne sound insulation in an intermediate floor. Adding a resilient strip on the joists also reduces the transmission of impact noise.
  • Thermal comfort in every season: thanks to its thermal inertia, Kanop delays the entry of heat under the roof by several hours and limits heat losses in winter. Heating and air conditioning are used less, all year round.
  • Easy to install: ready to use, it is poured by hand, with no mixing and no blowing machine. It is available in 60 L bags and 1 000 L big bags, for small and large sites alike.
  • Fire safety: classified B-s1,d0 for reaction to fire**. It does not spread flame, emits very little smoke and produces no flaming droplets.
  • Respect for the environment and healthy indoor air: hemp and lime, nothing else. Rated A+, the best level of the labelling of indoor air emissions.
