Construction of a new winery for the vineyard.
The owner of Domaine Mouressipe in the Gard wanted to build a winery in line with his commitment to natural wine that respects the environment and the product from A to Z.
He was looking for a natural and easy-to-use material, as the project needed to be carried out by the vineyard team during the off-season.
Having previously used hemp concrete on a personal project, albeit in a form with formwork, he found in IsoHemp’s hemp block the solution that met all his needs:
Combined with a wooden frame, the 20cm thick IsoHemp hemp block is placed on a rot-proof base block to protect it from splashes during the extensive water washing required in winemaking. The hemp block fills the wooden frame, providing both thermal insulation and the necessary inertia for a pleasant coolness in summer. The wall was completed on the outside with additional insulation and a ventilated wooden cladding, also left natural.
The ease of implementation allowed the entire team to complete the assembly of the hemp block walls on time. An interior lime finish completes the overall effect simply while providing bright lighting.
