The project involves the division of a villa into two adjoining single-family homes. In Waterloo, at the heart of Belgium, we will see how hemp blocks have modernised the facade of these two homes through the creation of an insulating envelope.

The IsoHemp hemp block emerged in this project as the only technical option that met all the set architectural objectives and addressed the building's specific constraints.

The project involves the division of the villa into two adjoining single-family homes. The building retains the entire footprint of the existing villa and fills in the two notches in the facade on the Avenue des Erables side to achieve a more compact volume and better facade readability. Only the gable ends of the roof are straightened to make the upper floor more comfortably habitable.

The thatch is completely removed to be replaced by a new roof fixed on the existing structure. Finished with grey slates, this new roof houses the bedrooms of the two new homes.
