For the renovation of this typical stone house from the Nantes region, Juan Ballesta proposed natural products to the clients: on one hand, to manage the moisture issues in the walls, and on the other, to ensure comfort and a natural atmosphere in harmony with the beautiful surrounding countryside.
The walls were doubled with 20 cm ISOHEMP blocks and filled with HL Mix. Ideal in this case, HL Mix allows for filling the gaps between the stones, their joints, and the blocks, while encasing the electrical wiring that had been previously fixed to the wall. For a perfect finish, Juan Ballesta naturally used his preferred plastering materials: lime, earth, and fibre, reflecting his company’s identity.
