Transformation of an old Rato factory in Mechelen into a warehouse for artworks.

Construction of 8 "storage boxes" intended for the conservation of artworks and archives of the City of Mechelen. This project features a box-in-box structure with walls made of 30 cm thick hemp blocks, reaching a height of 6 to 8 meters.

The hemp block maintains a constant temperature and perfectly regulated humidity levels, essential conditions for the optimal storage of the city's archives and artworks.

This project covers a total area of 1500 m² of blocks.
