New construction - Timber Frame House - Comté de Cork

For the new construction project completed in the summer of 2024 in County Cork, Ireland, this building represents more than just a house; it's the result of a joint project between a son and his father, intended to become the latter's retirement home.

This initiative emphasizes the importance of family and home comfort, integrated into every aspect of the design and construction.

The structure of the building relies on a wooden frame, with double insulation of 7.5 cm on the inside and outside, complemented by hemp fiber inside for optimized thermal performance. IsoHemp materials were chosen for their ability to effectively combine the thermal performance of hemp blocks and hemp fiber, with an internal PCS plaster for a smooth and durable finish.

The collaboration with Hempbuild, the partner and builder of the project, was crucial in realizing this vision, ensuring that the construction not only meets sustainability standards but also provides maximum comfort for the coming retirement years.
