In Plasmolen, Netherlands, discover two single-family homes with very high energy performance, built with a timber post-and-beam structure. For this project, the houses were wrapped in double masonry with 20 cm and 30 cm hemp blocks, allowing for excellent thermal and moisture regulation. This combination of natural materials provides not only fire resistance and optimal acoustic insulation but also enhanced living comfort for the occupants.

Architect Renate Hermans and contractor Bouwbedrijf Bouhuis worked closely together to offer an environmentally friendly and 100% natural construction solution. By choosing IsoHemp hemp blocks, the project highlights the benefits of this bio-based material, which contributes to the sustainability and longevity of buildings while ensuring high thermal insulation.
