In the heart of Lyon, Mr. Braud undertook the task of transforming the acoustics of his apartment in 2024. Faced with an inadequate separating wall resulting from the division of a large apartment over the years, he opted for a self-build project to bring improved acoustic insulation to his space, despite the limited area.

The ingenious solution chosen combines 7.5 cm thick IsoHemp blocks with a cellulose wadding filling, starting on a wooden batten on the existing floor. This combination proved to be a perfect match, meeting both thermal and acoustic insulation needs. It is also worth noting that the lightness of the materials made their transport easier, essential for a third floor without a lift.

The stability of the partition is ensured by wall brackets, and the assembly, carried out with IsoHemp adhesive mortar and finished with a PCS plaster, provides a surface ready for a modern paint finish. The result is spectacular: a total reduction of noise between dwellings and an exceptional improvement in bedroom comfort.
