International ambition: IsoHemp at the heart of hemp culture to support the French market

This was the opportunity for IsoHemp to present its new showroom in Troyes and explain the process of manufacturing hemp blocks and their use in construction. The site also hosts application and product training sessions led by Delphine Courtois, IsoHemp's sales manager for France, and her team.

"The company's goal is to produce high-quality, ecologically sound materials that meet market requirements, in line with the French regulatory changes," says Delphine Courtois, sales director for France: "The environmental legislation RE2020 takes into account the thermal performance of homes and is more focused on fighting climate change. At this point, IsoHemp offers a solution that meets these criteria with an innovative material."

Aube, a central and strategic location

IsoHemp's French subsidiary is in Sainte Savine - and that's no coincidence. The company wants to be as close as possible to hemp production. "This geographical location is a golden opportunity," says Delphine Courtois: "We are located in a production basin that is strategically very interesting in terms of hemp cultivation." IsoHemp wants to develop an industrial model with, initially, deliveries from Belgium.

"We are currently in the process of obtaining certificates to consolidate the foundations of our project," says Olivier Beghin: "In order to guarantee our outlets, we need to be able to manage the upstream supply of our hemp. Then we can start building a new production site in France, planned for within three to five years, and then in Germany in a second phase."

The IsoHemp team thanks Bertrand Chevalier, departmental councillor for the canton of Vendeuvre-sur-Barse, for the warm welcome and enthusiasm the project has generated. "This is a great opportunity for the municipalityof Troyes Champagne Metropole," he said, "Within three years, we hope to be able to offer more space on the Saint Lyé site to establish this bioeconomy centre."

The opening of the French office at the heart of the hemp business is therefore a first step towards this ambitious development with the ultimate goal of decarbonising construction with natural and high-quality solutions.
